When is video right for your business?
Do you have something to sell – or a story to tell? Do you need to persuade, educate, or inform a large audience? If so, video is a vital tool. Especially if you’re trying to accomplish any of this online. From the wealth of statistics on this, here are just a few significant ones (highlighted in the video above):
Video grabs attention. 60% of website visitors prefer to
watch a video first before reading any text.
Video holds attention. People typically stay two minutes longer
on your website if they view video.
It's 2x more clickable... You can double your click-through rate
by having a video thumbnail in your search result.
3x more shareable... Posts with videos are three times more likely
to be shared than plain text posts.
6x more memorable. People recall six times more information
from video than from text. And visuals are processed 60,000 times faster in the brain.
It also makes you 64% more sellable. Consumers are 64% more likely to buy from companies whose videos they've watched. They like video, use video, remember video.
“That’s all very well,” you might be thinking, “but I don’t have the capacity to produce a great video in-house. And I don’t want to risk spending a small fortune on a film which looks flashy but might not actually deliver what I need.”
That’s where we come in. At the Independent Production Company, we take pride in helping individuals, companies and institutions share their stories through video in a way that’s clear, concise, compelling and authentic. Your story – and your unique value proposition, if you’re a business – calls for a bespoke service, and that’s what we provide.
We take care of the production process from start to finish, working to agreed specifications, budget and timeframe to ensure that you get exactly what you need, when you need it, with no hidden catches or extra costs.
Filming and editing normally take place after initial consultation, the preparation of an edit script, and your approval of the document – this provides the framework for the production. After viewing a rough cut of the film, you have the opportunity to specify any significant changes needed. A fine cut is then provided for your sign-off, and if any minor changes are still needed, they can be made at this point.
The timeframes we work to can vary widely, from many months to as little as 24 hours or less for clients in a hurry. Budgets can also vary – from well under £1,000 to well over £20,000 – but the cost for a powerful short video showcasing the value proposition of an SME is typically in the range of £1,750 to £3,500, requiring about a week’s work, which may be spread out over a slightly longer period. It really depends on the complexity of the story, the filming and editing needed, and the constraints of the budget.
